Isle of Skye to Strathpeffer

The Isle of Skye turned out to be an amazing break. The Bed and Breakfast was just perfect with the exception of two bottle of wine consumed with Neil, the proprietor. Still light at midnight it seemed the perfect thing to do.

The drive from the Isle took us through some magnificent country. Snow was on the peaks and managed to find two castles for the day. Urqhart Castle on the shores of Loch Ness is just as a castle should be.

Once in Strathpeffer we made our way to the hotel to find that they were booked due to coach visits. We were billeted out to the next door neighbours of Jan (the bride to be) which was a classic evening as it was right out of Coronation Street. A BBQ at the McMillans turned out to be a single malt fest!!
